Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Need help right now? If any part of this site prevents you from finding a product, getting information, or completing an order, email support@empti.com and a person will help you complete what you were trying to do. We will not ask you to explain your disability, and there is no charge for assisted service.

Our commitment

Empti, Inc. is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, magnification, speech input, switch devices, keyboard-only navigation, or other assistive technology. We treat accessibility as a requirement of the product rather than an afterthought, and as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-time project.

Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We also aim to meet our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable state accessibility law.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that most of the site meets the standard, but some content does not yet fully conform. We are stating this honestly rather than claiming full conformance, because parts of the site — particularly third-party components and interactive 3D content — have known gaps that we describe below.

We reassess this status when we ship significant new features, and at least annually. If our assessment changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.

What we have done

Accessibility measures currently in place across the site include:

  • Semantic HTML structure with landmark regions, a single meaningful page heading, and a logical heading hierarchy on every page
  • A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page
  • Full keyboard operability for navigation, menus, search, filters, forms, dialogs, and the cart drawer, including focus trapping in modals and focus restoration when they close
  • Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, never removed without replacement
  • Text and interface contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA minimums
  • Descriptive alternative text on informative images, and correctly hidden decorative imagery
  • Form fields with programmatically associated labels, clear error messages linked to the field they describe, and errors announced to assistive technology
  • ARIA roles, names, and states on custom components, applied only where native HTML could not do the job
  • Layouts that reflow without loss of content or horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide and up to 400% zoom
  • Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference, with non-essential animation disabled
  • Target sizes and spacing sized for imprecise pointing, and no interaction that depends on a path-based gesture, hover, or device motion
  • No content that flashes, and no time limits on completing a form or checking out
  • Accessibility review as part of design and code review for new pages and features

Known limitations

We are aware of the following gaps and are working on them. In each case an accessible alternative is available, and we will provide it on request.

  • Interactive 3D product viewers. Some product pages include a rotatable 3D model rendered on a canvas. Canvas content cannot be conveyed directly to a screen reader. Every product that has a 3D viewer also has standard photography with alternative text and a written specification list containing the same information, and the viewer is not required to browse, evaluate, or purchase.
  • Checkout. Payment is completed on Shopify's hosted checkout, which we do not build or control. We have not independently verified its conformance. If you encounter a barrier at checkout, contact us and we will take your order directly.
  • Downloadable documents. Certificates of analysis, specification sheets, and compliance documents are supplied by manufacturers and testing laboratories as PDFs. Some are scanned images without a proper tag structure or text layer. We will provide the contents of any document in an accessible format on request.
  • Third-party embeds and vendor components. Where we embed or rely on a third-party component, its accessibility is partly outside our control. We raise defects with vendors and replace components that cannot be remediated.

This list is not a disclaimer. It is a working backlog, and we would rather tell you what is broken than let you discover it.

How we test

This site is built with Next.js and React, using semantic HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. It relies on standard web technologies and is designed to work with current versions of major browsers together with the assistive technologies those browsers support.

Our assessment approach combines:

  • Automated accessibility scanning in development and in code review
  • Manual keyboard-only walkthroughs of every primary task, including a full purchase
  • Screen reader spot checks against the WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria
  • Zoom, reflow, contrast, and reduced-motion verification at multiple viewport sizes
  • Self-evaluation by our development team when new pages or features are added

We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party audit. When we do, we will summarize the findings and our remediation plan on this page.

Report a barrier

Feedback from people who use this site is the most reliable accessibility information we get. If you find a page or feature you cannot use, please tell us — you do not need to know the technical cause or the relevant standard.

Email support@empti.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line, or use our contact form. If it helps us reproduce the problem, include the page address, what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and the browser and assistive technology you are using. Any of these details is useful; none is required.

What we commit to. We acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days. We aim to resolve confirmed barriers, or to put a documented workaround in place, within 30 days of confirming them. If a fix will take longer — for example because it depends on a third-party vendor — we will tell you why, give you an expected timeframe, and offer an alternative way to complete your task in the meantime.

If you are not satisfied. If our response does not resolve the issue, reply and ask for the matter to be escalated, or write to us at the postal address below marked "Attn: Accessibility." A senior member of our team will review the matter directly and respond.
